Meet The Doctors

Leia Paul, DVM

Dr. Leia Paul has been in small animal practice since her graduation from Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. Her husband’s career path has taken her to many places—from Atlanta to Wisconsin to Maryland and finally to Delaware, where she has lived since 2007. She is very excited to join the New London team!

Dr. Paul grew up in southern Indiana and did her undergraduate studies at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta. She always knew she wanted to be a vet and enjoys the challenges and diversity that the profession offers. She loves the detective work of difficult medical cases, the artistic aspects of soft tissue surgery, and the relationships she forms with her clients and their furry children.

Dr. Paul and her husband live in North Wilmington with their two children, their three toy poodles, and their two cats. In her free time, Dr. Paul enjoys read and tending her many plants, especially her orchids!

Deb Beck-Ross, DVM

Dr Beck received her veterinary degree from Texas A&M in 1984. She practiced in the area five years before coming to Penn Animal Hospital in 1989. She has called this practice her second home since then!

When not working, she enjoys weightlifting and to broaden her horizons, she takes an annual overseas trip to learn about other countries through Go Ahead Tours. She has an adult son and daughter, and cats as pets that keep her company at home.

Travis Meredith, DVM

Veterinarian/Owner

Dr Travis Meredith grew up on the backside of the Maryland Standardbred racetracks that launched his passion and career in veterinary medicine.
He graduated veterinary school in 1999 from Texas A&M University, completed a residency in Clinical Reproduction and Embryology from the University of Pennsylvania, and achieved specialty board certification by the American College of Theriogenologists.  Dr Meredith purchased his first veterinary practice in 2003 and realizing that the school of hard knocks wasn’t going to be enough, went back to school (yet again) and earned an MBA from the University of North Carolina.

Dr Meredith is passionate about seeing the patient experience from the eyes of the pet owner and doing everything we can to create the best experience possible, for both the pet and their families.

Clinically, his interests include family medicine and the expanding the recognition of hospice care in veterinary medicine.

Personally, he fills his passions as the family Uber driver, happily chauffeuring his two sons and two English Setters from sports event to sports event.

She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Callan’s professional interests include nutrition, ophthalmic emergencies, and senior care. In her free time.
